It’s been a while since I looked at my website. I’ve been back from Australia for a few months now and it’s time to solve my picture gallery issues. And while looking into that, I will probably make some more changes to the site. You may have noticed that the theme has changed and that certain items in the menu appear and disappear every now and then. Well, I am experimenting, so every now and then stuff may work or not ;-)
It’s official now: I hate this picture gallery!
While waiting for the washer and dryer, I found out why you now and then get errors when clicking on the pictures in the blog entries: the gallery does not have the right sized image available.Read full article
Well, I found out why you couldn’t get the bigger/high res pictures when clicking on a picture in the blog entries. I also tried to enable the Google maps integration, but that’s one that for sure will require a bit more time…
For now: this will allow you to look at “the bigger picture” or go to the “Picture Gallery” page to browse all pictures here ;-)
As you can see, I have been posting some messages over the last days. During the creation of the posts I have added an image gallery based on Gallery 2 and today I added a guestbook to the site.
The image gallery still needs a lot of work, but for now it allows me to upload my pictures and add them to the posts. Looks like I have broken the gallery - blog integration. When you click on a picture in the log, it should show a bigger/high res version… So far, I am not a big fan of this particular piece of software… But then, I have not put a lot of time in it either.
The gallery has some form of Google Maps integration, but I have had no time to work on that.
I will work on the Google Maps integration (not only for the pictures but also to show GPS tracks) over the next days.
My website is up and running. It does not contain information yet and the layout is not done. But you will see things being added and changed over the next weeks, since I will start posting information about my holiday: a nice 3 month trip to Australia.
