Just some stuff I want to share with you
On 11 September we flew over the Hudson, but the sun was going down fast. As a result, none of us had decent pictures. So, before leaving towards the south, we are going to fly the Hudson twice today; once from the south to the north and back. I took a lot of pictures. Read full articleThe first time in New York. First impression? It’s very noisy and busy here! Last night we visited Times Square; our hotel is just a few blocks away from the square. Today we’re going on the hop on hop off bus and visit the hot spots of this place, like Wall Street, Ground Zero and the Empire State Building.
Read full articleYesterday, after landing at Niagara Falls airport, we found out that the airport would be closed from 10.00 – 16.00 due to an airshow… That was not part of our planning, but it also gave us the ability to do something unplanned. We went to the FBO to find out that they invited a lot of people to see the show from their hangar. It included a nice barbeque as well and since we were there we mingled with the crowd. So today we are looking at a nice airshow with free food and drinks; horrible ;-)
Read full articleWe’re back in the air on route to Niagara Falls. But first we have to get away from Chicago. It was an interesting moment when we came into this airport due to the size of this place and the amount of traffic that’s using this airport. Today it’s busy again; this airport handles a lot of traffic of Southwest and then there are these small planes as well. Interesting to see a big plane waiting for a small Cessna taking of.
