Just some stuff I want to share with you
As I posted before, this year’s holiday will be all about flying in the USA.
Today we (Henk and Marianne Schrier, Lex Versteeg, Max Runneboom, Niels Kootkar, Jeroen van Rossum, Ferdinand de Wit and myself) left Amsterdam and after way too many hours we arrived in LA. Flying for over 10 hours and arriving just an hour later at your destination. Great isn’t it?!?! Here we got on board of a minivan to drive to Carlsbad California; home of Pinnacle Aviation Academy. After arriving at the Hampton Inn, which is conveniently situated just across the road of the airport, we were all so tired of the trip over, that we went for a nice meal and then crashed…
I will try to publish some pictures of the group later today and give an impression of where we are. For now: I have to go flying.
It’s that time of the year again: holiday season. This year I will go back to the US to fly again. I have joined a tour organized by 2 Dutch pilots; Jeroen van Rossum and Ferdinand de Wit. These guys have been flying in the US for several years and started organizing flying adventures in 2008. I joined the tour in 2008 and really enjoyed it. It’s great to fly in the US. That country is filled with airports and the service provided to pilots is amazing.
Read full articleThis will be the last post of my holiday in Australia. I have been traveling in Australia for just over 10 weeks now. I enjoyed the country and hope I will be able to visit it again in the future. It’s so beautiful, people are nice and they have something down here that we do not have in The Netherlands: space… Today I will start a new episode: visiting my relatives that live here. Some of them I already met, since they came to The Netherlands. Others I only have heard of. I will not post any information on these visits; this is private :-)
Today I will drive to Melbourne. But not before I tour the town of Ballarat.
